Biodiesel is an alternative fuel for diesel engines derived from vegetable oils, animal fats and trap grease that meet the specifications of ASTM D 6751. When burned, biodiesel produces less toxic emissions than regular EPA diesel, except for oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), which increases according to EPA tests. ORYXE Energy International has developed an additive technology called ORYXE®
LED for Biodiesel that eliminates the NOx increase from biodiesel blends. ORYXE LED for Biodiesel has been certified by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to produce biodiesel blends up to B20 in compliance with Texas Low Emission Diesel (TxLED) regulations.
Value Proposition
ORYXE LED for Biodiesel will enable biodiesel producers, suppliers and consumers to use biodiesel blends without increasing NOx.
The Product ORYXE LED for Biodiesel is the same additive technology as ORYXE LED for Diesel, except it has a lower treat rate that eliminates the NOx increase from the biodiesel portion of the blend. Like biodiesel itself, the unique, proprietary ingredient in ORYXE Energy’s biodiesel additive is biodegradable, non-toxic and compatible with fossil fuels.
Testing ORYXE LED for Biodiesel passed two official performance tests sanctioned by the TCEQ to demonstrate the necessary reductions for the TxLED program. Both tests were conducted at the West Virginia University National Research Center for Alternative Fuels, Engines and Emissions Laboratory. ORYXE LED for Biodiesel is registered with the EPA (registration number 192220005).
