ORYXE Energy Wins Texas Public Relations Industry Award
Video News Release on State’s New Low Emission Diesel Program Takes Top Honors
Irvine, Calif. —March 1, 2006 – The Texas Public Relations Association (TPRA) recognized ORYXE Energy International with its top award in the video news release category. The TPRA’s Best of Texas Silver Award for the state’s best video news release was awarded to ORYXE Energy for its production about the new Texas Low Emission Diesel program.
Each year, the Texas Public Relations Association recognizes the finest work produced by public relations professionals throughout the state. ORYXE Energy worked with its Texas public relations firm, TateAustin, to produce the video news release that was broadcast by more than 20 radio and TV stations across the state, primarily in major markets.
ORYXE Energy’s diesel fuel additive, ORYXE LED, is being used across the state to reduce smog-producing and toxic emissions in diesel vehicles. In addition to featuring the opening of ORYXE Energy’s new ORYXE LED plant near Houston, the video news release also included a prominent atmospheric scientist and the City of Dallas. The city’s fleet of more than 4,000 diesel vehicles was one of the first in Texas to use ORYXE LED to reduce emissions.
“This project was important in making the public more aware of the efforts being made to clean up the air in Texas,” said Walter Schindler, ORYXE Energy’s chairman and chief executive officer. “We are particularly proud of this award because it recognizes great work by our marketing and communications team.”
The TPRA’s panel of judges noted the video production not only highlighted ORYXE Energy’s diesel additive, but also stressed the impact diesel emissions have on the health of Texans and the impact the new low emission fuel program will have on the state’s air quality.
The TPRA hosts Texas' only statewide public relations awards program. The Best of Texas Awards recognize outstanding public relations techniques and communications tools. Award winners were honored at TPRA’s annual conference, which took place last Saturday in Austin.
